what a cool tool the Lee Auto Prime is. Even though it's made to chinese supplied wal-mart quality specs, it works. I really wanted the "new model" with the square tray, but our local shops haven't been able to get them in stock, so I pickeded up the one and only "old model" from one of the less supplied vendors at the gun show today. Then, the only shop in town with shell holders was out of one size... the #1, which among other things is for the .357. I did pick up the #19 for the 9mm, although I think I may stop working on the 9's until I set up a press. The Lee Classic sizing die just won't reliable do a full case resize to take out case bulge near the base, and the Kahr CW9 I'm loading for has a pretty darned tight chamber. Loading for the 9 takes a hell of a lot more time and attention than the revolver rounds, and certainly doesn't save anywhere the same amount of money.
The Lee Auto Prime will certainly save time though considering I was averaging seating primers at the rate of 8-10 per minute. So, now, I can deprime my dirty brass, drop it into the ultra-sonic cleaner for a 15 minute bath, let it dry, then resize, flare the case mouths, then prime to my heart's content.
