Defense ammo choice for P11

I also use 147g ammo. My real question is, Would anyone be interested in fiber optic sights for P11 and Pf9? I am working with a friend and we have an idea. Just need to know if there will be a need. If you like the idea, email me at whosit@integra.net.

I've done some informal testing with water jugs covered with 4 layers of denim and found that Speer GDHP 124 +P Short Barrel feed and expand consistantly in my P-11. Cor Bon 115 +P JHP work well also but their DPX doesn't always expand. I never could get Ranger T 124 +P to expand from the KT, but just about everything works from the XD9. I think that the 3.1" barrel may not develop enough velocity for some rounds.

PF-9 eats Federal 115 gr 9BP ammo with no problems. This is the same defense load I use in my other 9 mm pistol.
Does NOT like CCI/Speer aluminum case ammo.

Interesting to hear that. What is your experience with the Hornady? Did you shoot directly into the pork ribs, or was there clothing in front of it?

I haven't run accross too many that carry in their PF-9's what I do but I can sure recomend what I use for self defense as the cartridges are very reliable, feed well, and have great accuracy;

Hornady Custom 9mm Luger 124 gr JHP/XTP

CorBon DPX...

Its a solid copper hollow point and HOTT!!!

The CorBon ammo is good and hot and that slams the slide back hard preventing any jams or hang-ups.
The CorBon is so hot that you will get pancakes on the primers.

I carry Hornady Custom 124 gr. JHP/XTP's in my PF-9. Sorry, just realised I'd already posted to this. Dang I must be more tired than I thought! lol
