So here I am. My names bobby 25 years old. Looking in to getting somethin for conceal and carry or just persenal deffense. Been to the range a few times with my friend and fired is spring field 1911 .45 and that thing is just to big for me. Looking at a kel-tec p11 or s&w sigma sv9w. I know that the kel-tec is made more for daily carry. But just doesn't seem really stable in my hand. Has any one had any problems keeping a hold of it. I guess what saying is flood me with all the pros and cons of the p-11 if you all would be so kind

Welcome. I was not happy the first time out with my P11. After reading and a second trip to the range, I am learning the intricacies of shooting this little gun with a big bang. I consider myself pretty accurate with most weapons. But this little thing was all over the place. Well it is not the most accurate gun over a distance, the problems I'm having are muscular. Since both trips have resulted in the same findings (to the right of center and from 2 to 5 o'clock). I started doing some weight training for my wrists. Findings will be forthcoming. But just paying attention to my arm and wrist action between shots or groups of shots, shows that I am flexing my wrist with the long and heavy trigger pull. Strength, consistency, and training will make this a pleasure to shoot.

actually there's not a whole lot of difference between the hand feel of the P11 and the Sigma. Triggere aren't a whole lot different either, although I prefer the P11 in that catagory. Personally, I would take the P11. Now, with that said, none of the lightweight handguns from any manufacturer should be considered as a "first gun". There's just too many variables involved that can be honed out with more experience using a heavier framed starter handgun. Tazman just mentioned the main issues concerning the lightweight handguns.

    Just my opinions

Welcome. Have you thought about the PF-9? Single stack doesn't hold as many rounds but hides better and has a lighter trigger pull.
