Can I fire 380 bullets through my P-32?

New to this and just purchased a P-32 for self defense. . . They gave me Federial Ammunition 380 bullets for this pistol and I just want to make sure that this is correct before I do anything stupid.

You should be using .32 ACP ammo! Who gave you the 380?

Maybe The salesmen just miss read the box!
Even if THAT was the case, thats a pretty serious boneheaded mistake.
Take it back ASAP!! Your p32 is useless (unless you had ammo previously)

Eve, it was very wise of you to come to the forum and post this issue! As Markster said it won't fit in the chamber, but you were aware enough to suspect this before you tried to use it. The person who sold you the weapon, especially a gun shop employee should have been a little sharper than that!

That's what these forums are for!

Thanks everyone who replied. My husband also bought a .32 cal Beretta so we would have the same size bullets. Will get with the store first thing tomorrow. Also they said that the P32 could be fitted with a laser. Anyone done that? I want to make sure that I have a chance of hitting the "target" if I ever have to use it.

You can certainly get lasers but please do keep in mind that they are not a fix it all solution. The only real way to be able to hit your target in a stressful situation is to go shooting a lot and acquire some proficiency with your firearm. Hopefully that will even be an enjoyable experience.

It sounds like you and your Huband may be new to guns? There are many websites were you can find NRA or other certified instructors.
A basic self defense class is a valuable lesson to have. Here in Michigan we have Michigan Coalition for Responsbile Gun owners that is a good source for info

Buy some ammo,,,,go to a gun range, put up a target and PRACTICE!!!
You will be a shooter in no-time.
The more you practice, the more you learn how to grip, how to pull, and the recoil and noise isn't a problem anymore. AMAZING!!!!!!
