That's cheaper than you can find them around here anyway, on both ends of the deal.

Around here though, it's usually better to buy from an individual, because there is no sales tax involved (9.25% here in TN ) or background check to hassle with. While they allegedly don't "register" guns here, I'd still rather do things off the radar when I can. To me, that 34 dollars would be worth it, considering the new one would have sales tax and an extra 10 for the check...

    My $.03, tax included

This thread makes me feel really good about the price I paid for my barely used P-11. A local car guy that I had bought stuff from before was selling it for $150 on a local bulletin board. I got to shoot a few mags through it at a local gun range (where he is a member, so I got in for free) to see how the gun felt in action. After shooting it and a few other guns, we were talking about the P-11. He had been offered $120 for it, I offered $125 cash, then he balked on that. I had gone to the ATM to pull out cash before meeting him and only had 20s. He didn't have $10 change, so he accepted $140 & even threw in a few mags worth of ammo.

I'm liking this little gun so far. I've done a little work to it, mainly to make it more comfortable to hold and carry like smoothing sharp edges. I'm not too worried about screwing anything up since it was so inexpensive and the replacement parts are relatively easy to get and also inexpensive. I need to re-blue some spots that I filed down, but I expect years of service from this firearm. And if I ever feel the need to get rid of it, I have no doubt that I will be able to get my money back and probably even make a small profit.

as for the price i have seen the prices of p11 all over the place. new/use prices in my area go from low ($200) to high ($350). no reason for it. even at the gun shows they are all over the place. must be the reason no one is selling anything at the shows. i would check around for the best price and then make a offer. as for the shape of the gun, most p11 are carried often and shot less. so the gun might have a low round count.

    Pricing for P11

I'm new member to the board, but have been researching the site for some time about the the Kel-Tec P11. I recently purchased a P11 this past week and could not be happier with it. I work at a gun range (LE firearms Instructor) and also work for a gun dealer so I was able to get the gun at cost and test fired it with several boxes of ammo.

I used the range ammo which is factory new 9mm +p. Not one problem, except for the long trigger pull. I did notice that the bullet was tumbling when it hit the target. My wife was shooting her gun and it was punching clean holes through the target. May be a break in issue, we will see.

My point for responding to this thread was the pricing. Kel-Tec P11 should not cost more than (in my opinion) $245 for blue and $260 for Park/SS. This is with a $20 to $30 profit and a few dollars for shipping from the distributor. There is no price (wholesale) difference between the P11 and the .380 model, P-32 is $10 less.

Yeah, but supply/demand play a big role too. Right now, it seems like PF-9s are harder to find, and $300 for a blued model is pretty standard. Hard Chrome is about $15 more than Parkerized, BTW. Stainless steel was discontinued in the '90s.

    Thanks for the re-welcome...... LOL

I posted in October or so because I was trying to decide between and PF9 and the P-11..

Had a P-11 found for a great deal, made the offer, offer accepted, then backed out on. (his end). So, whenever I have the cash, I check in to see if any new news is around. This time I have a possiblity to buy a P-11 (chrome) for around 300 bucks, and wondered what everybody else was paying.

I still have my 1st gen (if you call it that) P-32. I bought it when Cliff was the gunsmith, right after I bought the P-11 that I had and wish I had never traded. It was plated by Jack Fuselier, then the slide broke and since Cliff's wife was from my area, I think he hooked me up with a chrome slide. No charge. I had 2 KT pistols in gray/chrome.

So to make a long story short which I haven't. .. I want another P-11.
