Question Newbie P11 Owner - Hammer Spring Replacement Guidance Needed

    Hello All,
I just picked up an older P11 with a serial number in the 12,xxx range. After doing some online research, I learned it came with a 10-pound hammer spring. I gave Keltec customer service a call, and they were nice enough to mail me out a new 8.5 pound spring along with some pins and a few other parts. However, they did not send any spring removal/assembly instructions.

Can someone refer me to a guide which will step me through this process? Also, while I have the gun apart are there any recommended steps I can take to improve the trigger pull or overall function of the weapon?

    Thanks in advance.

Use this guide P-11/P-40 and P-32/P-3AT Disassembly to remove the trigger spring, replacing it with you new one and reassemble as a reverse process. Basically, you are going to make sure the hammer is down to relax the spring and then reach through the pistol with a long screwdriver to disengage the spring holder at the bottom of the grip. The same screwdriver will let you ease the new one into place.

Believe it or not, it is not hard, but it takes a certain amount of strength.

    Best of luck!
