Pistol Grips

I read one of the different`s in the Gen1 and Gen2 was the dust cover area of the grip
was enlarged. Do they have separate Ones for Gen1 and Gen2? Is that Olive color as
ugly as it looks,or doe`s it actually look more like O.D. green? Have black slide trying to
decide between the green and gray. Have a Springfield XD sub compact 9mm in the black
and green. Really would like it in green but that color they show scares me. Anybody have
the green? pics ? Tim

According to Kel-Tec, Gen1 and Gen2 grips do NOT interchange. In the past, if you had a warranty issue with a Gen1 gun that required replacing the grip, they just built you a new Gen2 gun with the same serial number. Unless they have molded more Gen1 grips, that may still be the case.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. I don't own an OD colored P-3AT. When I was looking for a hard chrome P-3AT at a gun show a couple of years ago they looked awful (to me). Fortunately, I found a black one for only $25 more, which I purchased.

Subsequently, I changed the grip to gray. It is a sharp looking combination with the hard chrome slide.
