    PF-9 mag, 6 rounds ?

    Hi all,
My first post here and my first PF-9 and already I'm looking for help. It seems no matter how hard I try I can only get 6 rounds in the mag that came with my new gun. Has anyone else experienced this problem and did you find a cure.
    Thanks, B.

leave it loaded up, shoot as much as you can, and leave it loaded up.... they will normally "loosen up" to handle full capacity. Otherwise, you might take the mag apart and check for a burr inside that could be li,iting the travel of the follower. My bet is it just needs to be worked a bit to take the new out.

    welcome to the range

Mine was really tight when I first got it. I could get the 7th round in but it was a bear. After shooting it a few times, and keeping the mag always loaded, it quickly became as it should be.

Well I took it apart and cleaned it out and checked for burrs ect. It's smooth as can be inside. Checked the follower too and couldn't find any problems there either. I put it back together and used a piece of dowel to push the follower down and could not get it to go past the 7th witness hole. The only thing I can figure is the spring is just too long.

From time to time the mag spring will come installed the wrong way, you might just need to pull it out and rotate it so that it mates properly with the follower and floor plate. The only other thing would be to take the spring out and reassemble the mag without it and see where the follower rests, if it is covering the witness hole you might just need to shave a bit off the bottom, but im betting that the spring was just installed improperly, I havent herd of any instance of them putting too long of a spring yet.
Im back to the old me again, the video below will help to clarify this for anyone who needs a little help.

3.1415926535897932384626433832795 according to WIN7 calc. although actual pi has hundreds more numbers behind the decimal.

My dad has a book w/ the first ten thousand figures behind the decimal... Theoretically it never ends.
