I have both and both have been 100% out of the box. I now pocket carry the PF-9. The PF-9 has a better trigger, is lighter (especially fully loaded), is slimmer. To me the PF-9 carries much better in the pocket or IWB. I carry a spare mag.

I did my own research (before coming across this thread) and came to the conclusion that for concealed carry, the PF-9 was better suited to my needs. Its thinner (flatter), lighter (at least somewhat) and has a lighter trigger pull than the P-11. The three round difference in capacity is insignificant as far as I'm concerned. The double stack mags (the stock 10 rnd and the S&W 12 rnd) clearly affect concealability especially in the months of the year when jeans or shorts and a t-shirt is my typical daily clothing mode. The 2nd strike ability isn't necessarily a plus to me either. That being said, everyone has their own reasons for making their own decisions. I may find the PF-9 is less suited than I thought. I hope not but who knows. I'm hoping that I'll have mine by the end of this coming week. I'll do the requisit "Reliability Prep" then hit the range for the "shake down cruise". Report to follow. TG

YOU KNOW IT ALL REALLY BOILS DOWN TO WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL SAFE!.

A selfdefense situation could only require a gun being drawn or a single shot being fired in the air and the attackers take off running OR they could pull out a pistol and starting shooting back.

Then you got to ask yourself if you need 12 rounds to defend yourself against 1 or 2 people, WHERE DID ALL THOSE BULLETS THAT YOU MISSED WITH GO????????

I would bet that the average person will never even need to use a gun for selfdefense in their lifetime but its always better to be prepaired than not. YOU GOTTA FIGURE THAT ONE OUT FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!

I have both I currently carry the PF9 but just purchased the P11. If the P11 does well at the range it will become my carry gun. I like the idea of more rounds and not having to carry spare mags.

I have owned both in the past. I liked them both but prefer the Glock 26 to the P-11 and my Kahr PM9 instead of the KelTec PF9. The longer Glock magazines fit my Sub2000 and the G26. The PM9 is my main pocket gun and the KelTec P3AT is the backup for it.

I have often recommended the PF9 to people that want a reliable 9mm at a good price. I find it to be a more refined design over the P-11 with better concealment options due to the flatter dimensions. I plan to get another someday to be a "tween" pistol for me and a primary for my wife. She likes the PF9 she recently shot better than my G26 or the Kahr PM9 It is a perfect size for her.

Get the belt clip from Kel-Tec!!
It is easy to put on, and it holds the pistol securely to inside your pants.
    I use it every day!

I have both G26 & PF9. Really favor < 6lb trigger pull, which is true of both. Otherwise, one has higher round mag capacity & the other never difficult to conceal. Depends on the type of clothes worn (applicable to the weather, type of environment, etc.) as to which is my CCW of the moment.
