Well, it is an understatement that the iron sights could be improved. What kind of sights/ scopes are you all putting on yours.
Also, does anyone know how the "cheaper" reflex sights work? Like BSA, Barska, etc. Are they decent for $50-$80? Thanks!

I'm going with a Trijicon Reflex sight.
The next gun is NEVER the last one!
Whaddaya mean it's not IN stock.......oh brother!
Carry or be carried by 6.......
i use a bsa red dot. good for the money, accurate, reliable under normal circumstances. recently shot 2" groups @ 50 yrds with the plr, no effort. only 30 at walmart, but i find that for some reason the ones in that come boxed are significantly brighter than the ones at walmart. i had a heck of a time with a couple i own during the day...
2" groups with a $30 red dot at 50 yds. is MORE than adequate for fun shooting and home defense. Thanks for the post!

i have a blast everytime i shoot the plr. literally and figuratively. there's no end to the stares the plr gets from people, especially when the rangemaster had me laser boresight it in the parking lot. i'm not too sure about home defense. i'd like to be able to hear after an encounter. i mainly use the sub for home defense. it's not much quieter, but i'll retain more hearing with the sub than the plr. that's what i think anyway.
HUUHH??? WHAT???? SPEAK LOUDER!![]()

Yeah, the blast from that alone Close Quarters would be like a flashbang going off!

Yeah...the hearing thing is of concern...but boy, the deterrent effect if you were a burglar and saw/heard that thing go off anywhere near. I think I'd wanna run away quickly
I like the wildlife right next to the potatos
I have a BSA red dot scope but I don't like it. It has a push button to turn it on and intensify the dot. It can accidently get turned on way too easily.
I have a Tasco red dot on it right now until I get a reflex sight, probably gonna be an ATN Ultra Compact Digital Reflex sight now. The Eotech and the Trijicon are a little more money than I want to put in the gun altho I do like the fact that the Trijicon uses no batteries and the Eotech uses AA.
On another note, anyone have any experience or ever heard of NcStar? I'm looking to put one of their 3-9x42 scopes on my Su-16. It's only 7 3/4" long for 80 bucks!

Be careful with the Digital ATN reflex sight. A guy on my airsoft team got the ATN digital reflex sight and the regular ATN reflex sight (for his real guns, not airsoft), and the digital one crapped out on him. He said the ATN reflex sight is awesome though. I just ordered mine a few days ago from optics planet on Ebay for $115. This guy uses an Eotech on some of his guns, and he likes the ATN reflex sight better (believe it or not).

i think my red dot is different. it has a dial, no button. i only use 2 of the 11 brightness settings; the brightest for day time use and the dimmest for low light use.
NCstar is ok, from what i've heard. more praises than curses. i owned one of their lasers and the adjustment screws fell out.
