Be sure you know the legality of the vertical grip on the PLR. I am not sure, but I heard that it could get it classified as an unregistered AOW (any other weapon) by BATFE and you in a lot of trouble.

    forward grip

i checked with local authorities and also the local swat supply and both said the forward vertical grip is ok but if I were to add a stock to it then it becomes a felony punishable by 15000 fine and 10 years in prison.

They're bluffing! Put the stock on it.

    Just kidding!!!

That thing is sweet. Nicely done.

    Good to go then.

I think you need a P-MAG 20 rounder or two to go with it though...always need something, right?

    They are awesome.

Good luck finding them for anything like a reasonable price right now. I paid $17.95 for my FDE Maglevel P-MAGs - now they want $30+ for them.

    FYI

Local authorities and SWAT do not enforce federal law, and therefore probably are not well versed in it. It's the ATF that says the vertical foregrip is not allowed on a pistol. Here is an open letter that they have posted. http://www.atf.treas.gov/firearms/041006-vert_grip.htm

It is unlikelly that any local authorities would say anything (like you mentioned) but if an ATF agent saw it, he might say something, though I have never heard of someone being prosecuted for a vertical foregrip allone...It's usually an add on charge if someone was raided.
