Anyone try a Kel-Tec PLR-16 compensator/brake on an AR Rifle

So, the PLR-16 from Kel-Tec has an optional AK-74 shorty style muzzle brake that actually throws gasses only to the sides (no top or bottom holes at all). While, on this AR pistol using rifle loaded ammo (factory 223 rem), it is extremely effective at reduced muzzle jump, it tears the ears out of your fellow shooters at the range.

Has anyone used one of these style brakes on their AR-15 rifles? is it any better? I am in the middle of an upper build and have an Izzy, and one of the Kel-Tec's that nobody could tolerate, and was curios if I should try that first to compare muzzle rise. any opinions out there????

What about the Noveske KX3? It is spendy, but effective by all accounts, esp for the shooters to the sides.

LOL! Classic! That explains the funny looks of fellow shooters when I put a few rounds through the PLR.

As for the question, I don't know...yet. I prefer the PLR without the brake, so when my buddy is back in town with his AR we'll see about trying the KT brake. Making mental note now...
