    Looks nice!

PLR's are like AR's. You just can't leave them alone.

He actually likes it a lot. He did his first Turbine Engine pull from the Abrams the other day and the smile on his face was ear to ear. We flew out last month and spent a few days visiting him, he said he is having a great time.

Make sure he understands that following safety procedures is paramount. Fuck the squad leader, NCOIC, LT, or anyone else.

When I was at Ft. Irwin, everyone was in a hurry to get any broken equipment operational before a battle. When the transmission in my Sheridan went out, a mechanic was disconnecting the final drives while a M(ike)-88 was hooking up to tow my tank to the maintenance area. Either he should have backed off until the 88 was connected, or they should have waited for him to finish before hooking up.

The end result was that he had his hand in the wrong place when the 88 bumped my tank. It rolled a little, and caught his finger in the gears. There was only about 1/4" of meat holding the top half of his right index finger to the rest of it. Luckily they were able to put it back together, but it will never be the same and he went through a lot of pain.
